Welcome to a new school year! I hope you enjoyed your summer vacation. My name is Mr. Patiño and I will be your child's 5th grade teacher this school year. A major goal I have is to maintain consistent communication with you regarding your son or daughter's progress and your thoughts on that advancement.
I want to share a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I moved to Chicago three years ago because of its beauty and history. My wife and I have a daughter named Olivia who is 3 years old. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing golf, reading, and playing soccer. This is my seventh year teaching, my third year at Jonathan Burr Elementary and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. As an educator, I value my job and the opportunity that I will have to teach your child the requirements he/she will need to complete by the end of this school year successfully. Your child’s success in my classroom is my number one priority.
